Marine Stations Experience

We operate, service and maintain integrated real-time oceanographic, meteorological, and water quality marine monitoring systems. We designed and installed is the Dubai Municipality Coastal Zone Monitoring Network, the largest in the region, with 15 monitoring stations. In addition to ongoing maintenance, our team continues to expand and upgrade the system on behalf of Dubai Municipality. Through this effort and other projects, our team has developed extensive experience while working in the harsh marine conditions that characterize the waters of the Arabian Gulf. Our local knowledge and technical expertise enable us to provide comprehensive remote marine monitoring services that meet specific client requirements.

Completely self-sufficient, our buoys are powered by solar energy

Our monitoring systems are used to inform a number of critical services and applications:

• Monitoring coastal processes to inform coastal zone management
• Tide forecasting
• Forecast modeling for wind and waves
• Tracking shamals
• Implementing an early warning system for large wave events to improve beach user safety
• Monitoring coastal development
• Early warning system for algal blooms
• Establishing a wide scale ambient dataset
• Aiding development of our understanding of the unique dynamics of the regional marine environment
