EMP Experience
EMP Experience
Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) form the basis for implementing environmental controls on a project. An EMP should set out the principles, practices, and procedures to be followed by construction contractors and project operators in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements, legislation, and standards. EMPs provide a vital tool to effectively manage, remedy, and mitigate potential adverse environmental impacts throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
Our team has been developing project-specific EMPs for a broad range of clients throughout the region since 2001. We have a local team of environmental scientists who develop EMPs for projects that include the development and operation of transport infrastructure; land reclamation and coastal zone management; power generation and desalination; fisheries; property development; light and heavy industrial facilities; port construction and operation; and remediation projects.
Completely self-sufficient, our buoys are powered by solar energy
Our monitoring systems are used to inform a number of critical services and applications:
- Monitoring coastal processes to inform coastal zone management
- Tide forecasting
- Forecast modeling for wind and waves
- Tracking shamals
- Implementing an early warning system for large wave events to improve beach user safety
- Monitoring coastal development
- Early warning system for algal blooms
- Establishing a wide scale ambient dataset
- Aiding development of our understanding of the unique dynamics of the regional marine environment
